This is why we’re so cynical right now. We’ve heard the polished speeches the flashy presentations. And sometimes it’s smooth words hiding a wicked heart like paint covering dirt.

Here’s the thing about wisdom – it’s not a vocabulary to learn, it’s not language to parrot – it’s authentic. – Lots of people with bad hearts can sound good. The point of Proverbs isn’t to get more cynical, we’re already good at that – the point is so that we prioritize our own character, that we repent quickly – that we’re right before God.
